April 2025 Product Updates:
At Lockwell, we believe cybersecurity should work with you — not against you. That’s why we’re always improving the way our platform helps small teams stay secure, stay focused, and stay confident.
Here’s what’s new this month, including some major improvements to how you resolve vulnerabilities, manage users, and interact with Elle — our AI Cyber Defense Agent.
Elle Comes to the Desktop App
She’s here! 🎉
After a phased rollout last month, Elle, our AI Cyber Defense Agent, is now officially available to everyone using the Lockwell desktop app.
Whether you’ve been waiting to meet her or just started seeing her name in your dashboard, Elle is ready to help you understand and resolve security issues faster — right from where you work. No more toggling between tabs, deciphering alerts, or guessing what to do next.
Now, when you open a vulnerability (previously called an “issue”), Elle helps you understand and resolve it right from the drawer. She analyzes the problem and gives you simple, step-by-step instructions tailored to your environment. No jargon. No guesswork. Just clear guidance from your always-on security agent.
And if you're not sure where to start? Elle now highlights the top five vulnerabilities to resolve, helping you take one manageable step at a time.
A Smarter Way to Use Elle: Prompt Library Now Available
Knowing what to ask is sometimes the hardest part — especially with a powerful tool like Elle.
That’s why we’ve added a Prompt Library to the web app. It’s a simple but valuable resource: a curated set of prompts you can copy and paste directly into your chat with Elle to help her take action, answer questions, or surface important insights.
These prompts are grouped by category and designed for everyday workflows — from securing devices to generating board-ready compliance reports. And once you send a prompt, Elle will walk you through what happens next, including any follow-up actions she can take on your behalf.
Here’s what’s now available:

Tell me about yourself, Elle
Whether you're running a scan, prepping for a board meeting, or just trying to stay ahead of security tasks, the Prompt Library helps you get more out of Elle — no guesswork required.
Progress That Sticks: Introducing Streaks
We’ve added a new way to help you stay on top of security over time — and actually see your progress.
With Streaks, you’ll now see how many days in a row you’ve been resolving vulnerabilities (or not). It’s a lightweight but powerful way to stay motivated, build habits, and keep security momentum going.
Positive streak? Celebrate it.
Negative streak? Elle’s right there to help you get back on track.
Smarter Account Management with Team-Owned Users
Not every user account belongs to a person. That’s why we introduced Team-Owned Users — for shared inboxes like finance@, hr@, or outreach@.
When you invite someone as a team-owned user, you can now assign an “owner” from your team. That person is prompted to sign in, manage the account, and make sure Lockwell can secure it just like any other user. It’s a small change with a big impact on how you manage responsibility and access.
A Faster, More Reliable Device Experience
We’ve upgraded the entire backend behind how Lockwell handles devices. That means faster responses, more accurate data, and smoother performance across device-related actions like scans, backups, and deactivations.
This update isn’t something you’ll see directly — but you’ll definitely feel it.
Other Small But Mighty Improvements
These updates may not get the spotlight, but they make everyday tasks easier, smoother, and more intuitive:
New filters, sorting, and pagination in all tables (web + desktop)
Pending decommissioned users can now be flagged — and automatically generate offboarding tasks for Lockwell and Google accounts
Improved admin digest email design — easier to scan, easier to act on
More visual improvements to security charts and graphs in your dashboard
Final Thoughts
Every one of these updates is built with the same goal in mind: to help mission-driven teams stay protected — even without a full-time IT department. Whether you’re tracking streaks, managing shared accounts, or resolving issues with Elle’s help, you now have more support than ever before.

And as always — if you need help, Elle’s already on it.
